I’ve been running for the past five weeks and it has been awesome. As of today I’ve logged in 42 miles (Woot! Woot!) and couldn’t be happier.
I have had a bit of trouble deciding how to proceed with my training. Whether to take it easy and slow or to push myself.
I’ve been trying different things these past few weeks hoping to find something that fits and although I’m not 100% sure I’m taking the best route I’ve decided to set goals for myself.
Distance with decent times. I remember running a 5k in 22 minutes when I was running a lot years back and I know it’s going to take a while to get there again. Seeing as I’m now struggling to run a couple miles in 25 minutes, I am going to start by attempting to run 2 miles in 20 minutes in 30 days, so by July 10th.
Weekly, I plan on running 2 miles a day at least 4 days a week.
So, goal has been set….now I hope it gets met.
Now for a motivation boost.
