Flower by Drew Barrymore

Well hello there!!

I can’t believe we are half way through February already. Is time going by super fast for everyone or just me??

I wish there were more hours in a day so I could get more done. I hope this week is as productive as last. After our nice Valentine’s Day dinner in our backyard I was inspired to get some work done back there. We started landscaping almost two years ago and it’s been all dirt since. I talked about my Backyard Woes before, the rock is still there and being a pain but I finally convinced my husband to give it away on Craigslist so I’m posting that this week and hope we have a taker. My husband tried to talk me into figuring out how to “make use” of all that rock but I want it gone. I think if I can just manage to get rid of it, it will be easy to going from there.

Any who, today I’m really excited to tell you about this new makeup line I found the other day while browsing the aisles at Walmart. The clean white display and Drew Barrymore were the first to catch my eyes, second was the packaging…totally gorgeous, I decided to bring some home. It was hard choosing what to buy as I wanted to bring it ALL home. It all looked so pretty. Although the prices are very reasonable I had to pick and choose and it was hard.

The line was released in late January and is available only at Walmart. I absolutely love the packaging, it’s very pretty but I admit that although it LOOKS luxurious it does FEEL lighter and not as luxurious as department store makeup. The product itself is wonderful though. I have tried drug store eyeshadow before and never found the pigmentation to be up to par but this one was a lovely surprise. All products are made in the USA and never tested on animals which is quite nice in my opinion. I was very happy with my purchase and am very excited to buy more products.

On a side note, I did notice a magnetic pull between the eyeshadow palette and blush and bronzer duo. I tried pulling the tin out and testing them but couldn’t feel it “stick” so I’m wondering where that pull came from. Not really an issue but I found it interesting and worth mentioning. It would be quite nice if the base was magnetic so you could reuse the packaging though.

I leave you with some close-ups and swatches. :)

Darn, there is no label on the bottom of the lipstick and I removed the sticker that was on the side so now I don’t have the name. Oopsie! Sorry.

As one who loves to collect quotes I thought this hidden quote was a nice touch but very bad placement. It’s hidden behind the product so if you don’t realize it’s there and are careful when tearing the plastic from paper you will rip right through it.

    • It is very pretty and I am loving her collection. I am going to have to go back to Walmart to get the color of that lipstick. Sucks they don’t have a label at the bottom. I didn’t even think to check before I pulled the side one off. :/
