Mini Drugstore Haul/Review

Hello there!

A few weeks ago I picked up these items while grocery shopping. I have had some time to use them so I’d thought I’d review them for you now.

If you have seen my Winged Liner and Red Lip video, you will recognize this first product.

This is a very pretty cream blush that I have been loving. It’s goes on easily with a fluffy brush and I find it’s staying power is quite long. I’m not really sure the “bouncy” effect has anything to do with the formula of the product, I believe it may just a gimmick and not a great one at that is it’s not really “bouncy” but squishy. haha.

Press on it lightly and this is what you’ll get. Overall though it’s a very nice product and one I will purchase again. I think it will be perfect for summer.

I tend not to buy drugstore eyeshadow because i never seem happy with the pigmentation. I do however see YouTubers and beauty bloggers use them with very pretty results so I end up caving once in a while.

Although looking at the colors now, I feel inspired to use them for some pretty spring looks I didn’t feel happy with this quad. In order to get the color you see in the picture I really had to pack on several layers of eyeshadow and it still seems too opaque for me and my skin tone. Also, from the look of them at the store it seemed the colors were matte but they were not which was another turn off for me as that is what I was looking for at the time. Will I purchase this again?? No.

I have expressed my love for these Color Tattoos by Eyestudio before and my collection has grown to TEN! I love them! Here are two of the new ones.

Left: Audacious Asphalt     Right: Bad to the Bronze

These are perfect to just run across your lid for a bit of color if you’re in a hurry or as a base. They help your eyeshadow last longer although you will have some creasing at the end of the day but nothing major. I absolutely love these and will definitely be buying more.

Have an amazing and productive day!

Til next time,
♥ Karla

  1. Wow absolutey luv the Hot Tamale color of the Maybelline Blush! Agree that it would be a great color for summer. uved your tip about using the Color Tattoo Shadows as a base. That is such a great idea.
