Hello there beautiful readers!
Oh boy, am I glad it’s Sunday and with it the start of a new week.
I did end up making good use of the last few days of last week and got stuff done.
The hubby and I finally installed out new Ikea lights. I quickly posted a picture on Instagram. I love them so much! MUCH better than the ugly fans we used to have. I will post better pictures here soon.
I’m having technical difficulties on my end at the moment so it’s been tough getting anything done in the internet world. My hubby has been trying to tweak my Mac to run better but something isn’t working properly so he’s trying to figure it out. :/
I also deep cleaned my house which really helped my mood. Every time my home gets a little messy my mood goes down and I start feeling suffocated. As soon as I give it a good clean my mood picks up and I feel like I can breathe again making it much easier to be productive. Any of you feel the same way??
I edited a massive haul video and am close to uploading it but I’m looking for a music clip that is safe to use. It’s crazy hard finding music I like that has a CC license for commercial use. Did you know Youtube videos are considered commerical?? Boo!
Anywho, I also filmed and began editing a tutorial for a DIY wood photo backdrop and hope to film another makeup video tomorrow or Monday. It’s crazy the thrill I get from filming. I find it such fun which is a surprise because I was nervous and scared to be in front of the camera. I laugh a lot which is good. I need more laughter in my life. Don’t we all.
I am super excited about this week though. I decided a couple days ago to do something special for my husband this Valentine’s Day. Normally we don’t celebrate it, mostly because of his job and crazy schedule, also because I used to depend on him for rides which made surprising him hard but we also don’t feel we need to show out love to each other one day a year. We try to be good partners for each other throughout the entire year.
This year though, I felt like it would be nice to do something extra special for my hubby as a thank you for how wonderful he has been to me since we met. So I spent a couple hours cleaning up our messy backyard this afternoon as I’m hoping to fix it up for a special candlelit dinner Alfresco.
I love this dinner Lauren at Every Last Detail put together for inspiration.
I will be spending the next four days planning and organizing everything.
Are you guys doing anything special for your partner this year??
Care to share some idea? I’d love to hear.
♥ Karla

LOVE the lights!! SO freakin’ cute. If only I could get my hubs to go into ikea with me. He refuses, he hates the maze haha!
And I’m the same way about my house. It’s been so difficult to clean (I have a new baby) but I go CRAZY when it’s a mess! Thank goodness my hubs doesn’t mind helping me clean!
Courtney B recently posted..I confess…
Thank you! I’m so happy with them. My husband doesn’t like Ikea much either. I want to take my time and explore and he’s like, “Get what you need and let’s get out of here.” lol. Must be hard to keep a house clean with a newborn, very sweet of your hubby to help out though.
