TGIF!
I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine’s Day with your sweet Valentine.
If you follow me in Twitter or Instagram you will know that I celebrated my Valentine’s Day on Wednesday. I mentioned in my last post that my husband has a crazy work schedule and I found out early in the week that he had to work yesterday.
I had to rush to get everything done on time but I managed it and it was so nice.
We had an incredibly wonderful time together.
I was nervous about it all because as I mentioned before we never celebrate Valentine’s Day and I wasn’t sure how my husband would take it all. He tends to always think about work and I was afraid he’d rush through dinner to get back in the house and work. That did not happen though, he took my invitation well and thanked me saying it was “really sweet and appreciated”. The day of the dinner he was very patient and waited until it was all set. When we sat down for dinner, we took our time and just had the loveliest time.
It got chilly rather early and I was so happy when my husband offered to fashion a fire-pit out of bricks and lit us a nice fire which we sat in front of, had coffee and talked for hours. It was incredibly wonderful and I did NOT want to come inside the house.
It made my day when my husband said,”today was wonderful and it was all thanks to you.”
I was hoping to get nice pictures of everything but while in the moment I decided to just enjoy the day with my husband. I did manage to get a few shots I really liked so I thought I’d share.
The invitation I taped to his car steering wheel the day before.
My babies didn’t want to be left out. It was chilly for them though, we did our best to keep them nice and warm.
My gift to him was a heart filled with “12 Reasons Why I Love You”.
What did you do for your Valentine. Care to share?? I’d love to know.

Oh my, you went to so much trouble and it all looks amazing, no wonder your husband had such a wonderful time. it’s important to have special “dates” like that with our partners, makes us appreciate each other again instead of just sat watching tv together, or him working and you on the computer, like my house lol just everything you did was so perfect. My partner made me a great home made meal for dinner and i really appreciated his efforts.
I came by via the I love my post blog hop and now follow you on GFC, hope you can check out my blog too.

Yes, I think that kind of reasoning is what inspired me to do something special this year. It was very nice and I’m very glad I did it. I am thinking of doing some more throughout the year. Seems it would be nice.
Your hubby cooking dinner is so sweet. I would very much appreciate that myself.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I’m on my way to visit your blog.
